ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
Reflecting a seamless organic shape and timeless form, the Lippa dining table has become a symbol of modernism for over the past 60 years. Before its release, homes were filled with clunky remnants of an industrial age long gone by. But in order to advance into the new world, homes first had to transition from the traditional square table, into a piece that connoted progress. The base and dimensions are true to the original specifications, while the table’s circular artificial marble top, and tapered metal base, are carefully lacquered with a scratch and chip resistant finish.

Good overall top is too easily scratched though

Disclaimer: I'm extremely particular: the table top generally looks great but on close inspection you can tell the top is artificial (man made). It's too polished and glossy to be a natural material and if you inspect the finish at an angle parallel to the top you'll see waves towards the edges. In bright daylight the "veins" have a very very slight green tint. The biggest problem is that under the right light/angle the finish shows very fine hairline scratches - as if you went over it with very fine grained sand paper. However barring close inspection - you probably won't notice it. That being said my family of 3 has been using this table heavily since February or so for work meals everything really. The top is chip and stain resistant as we've dropped things on it and written on it with crayon and ink but it always wipes off with little effort. The base is great. It's not particularly bright which is what we wanted to contrast with and blend with our very dark hardwood floors. It has a brushed finish and is not glossy. It has very thick rubber padding underneath it and has protected our floors well. Be prepared for how big and heavy the top is. It probably weighs upwards of 220lbs and was a handful for 2 professional movers. (I had to chip in with 2 hands on the final step of getting it mounted on the base). For the price though it's really hard to complain and I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.
